Research positions in Voice Production

Postdoctoral position in voice production research is available in the Speech Production Laboratory in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA School of Medicine. This position will support our research projects on the biomechanics of voice production and vocal health, with applications toward clinical voice care and voice training. The research focuses on 1) laryngeal muscular control of voice production and control; 2) physiology of the singing voice; and 3) biomechanics of vocal fold injury and vocal health. Applicants with strong interest in voice and experience with vocal physiology, vocal functional evaluation, computational or experimental models of voice production are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be involved in various aspects of the projects and be working in a multi-disciplinary group consisting of scientists, engineers, surgeons, linguists, and speech pathologists.
