Juan Carlos Jimenez is currently an assistant professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1999. From 1999 through 2005, he obtained his general surgery training at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and is Board Certified in General Surgery. He finished his specialty training in Vascular Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles and joined the faculty at the Gonda (Goldschmied) Vascular Center. Dr. Jimenez is the author of multiple book chapters, in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery textbooks, and original peer-reviewed articles. He is a member of the Longmire Surgical Society and a candidate member of both the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. He is the recipient of multiple medical student teaching awards.
