James P. Bradley was recruited to UCLA from the University of Pittsburgh where he was the Director of Craniofacial Surgery and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery. In his position as associate profesor of Plastic Surgery at UCLA and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery, his clinical and research interests are focused on craniofacial and cosmetic surgery. At UCLA, he is the first to hold the position of the Bernard Sarnat Chair for Craniofacial Research. The aim of the basic science research performed with help of Dr. Sarnat's endowed funds is to better understand the biology of craniofacial defects and to imporve clinical care for children with facial deformities. In addition, Dr. Bradley volunteers his time to work with Facing Forward (a not-for-profit organization which supports children who requre facial reconstruction for birth defects).
