The Division of Pediatric Surgery has four full-time faculty members who provide extensive clinical experience to medical students, junior and senior residents in the General Surgery program. Working closely with the department of Pediatrics, the Division treats a wide variety of clinical problems in neonatology, pediatric gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, thoracic surgery, and several other specialty areas.

In addition to the clinical programs and education, the Division of Pediatric Surgery has an active program in the pediatric surgical research sponsored by the Fubon Foundation.

Residents completing the five-year-program in General Surgery are eligible to apply for one of the 33 approved Pediatric Surgery Fellowship training programs in North America, leading to the Certificate of Special Qualification in Pediatric Surgery awarded by the American Board of Surgery.
