Melinda Maggard, MD, MSHS (Deputy Director)

Dr. Maggard obtained her medical degree from Harvard and her MSHS (health services research) from UCLA. She is a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. She currently is a general surgeon in the Division of General Surgery at UCLA, and a research consultant at RAND. She has performed a variety of projects including an AHRQ funded meta-analysis, several secondary database analyses, and quality indicator development in bariatric surgery.
