Clifford Ko, MD, MS, MSHS (Director)
Dr. Ko is the Director of the Center for Surgical Outcomes and Quality. He obtained his medical degree and masters degree (medical ethics) from the University of Chicago. He obtained his MSHS in Health Services Research from UCLA. He is a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar.
Currently, Dr Ko is a colorectal surgeon in the Division of General Surgery at UCLA, a researcher at RAND, and he works in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care at the American College of Surgeons. He has funding through the NIH, the American Cancer Society, the CDC, and the VA.
