Scope of Work

	Overview
	Given that increasingly more quality initiatives are being developed and mandated for Surgery services and care (e.g. JCAHO, CMS), the Center is closely working with the UCLA Medical Center and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center for the implementation of such initiatives. With the Center, directives such as the Surgical Infection Prevention program and the Surgical Care Improvement Program are being developed and instituted. Additional surgery-related initiatives are expected in the near future, and given the already implemented quality improvement work that is ongoing in the Medical Centers, this work is an ideal component of the Center's Mission and Aims.
