Scope of Work

	Overview
	UCLA and RAND have internationally-recognized expertise in the performance of evidence based reviews. Given the importance of performing evidence based care and paucity of surgery-relevant information in this regard, it is critical that more systematic reviews and meta-analyses be performed in surgical areas, and on surgical topics. In this regard, a goal of the Center is to generate, assemble, and synthesize knowledge and evidence necessary for the effective and efficient application of medical and public health practices. Together with the methodological and clinical expertise within the Surgery Department, important evidence based reviews are being performed.
