Scope of Work

	Overview
	Quality and safety have been paramount issues in health care, and particularly in the surgical arena. In this regard, the Center has focused on several aspects of Quality and Safety. As an example, UCLA/RAND are the leaders in Quality Indicator/Quality Measure development. With the recent emphasis on evaluating and improving the quality of health care, it is critical to identify the specific processes of care that are related to, and produce, high quality, good outcomes. The Center will have the ability to perform such studies because of the available methodological and clinical expertise.
