Scope of Work

	Overview
	Administrative databases at the state and national level provide a substantial amount of useful data that may be used for important, policy-appropriate clinical evaluations, including the study of utilization of services, disparities, variations in care, and costs. In addition, clinically relevant issues such as length of stay, mortality rates, readmission rates, and complications may be used to benchmark outcomes at the population level. Such studies are performed in the Center by incorporating the methodological expertise of the Center Methodologists with the clinical expertise of the Surgical Faculty.
